I won a challenge!!

Well I didn't win first place but I did win an honorable mention!  I was so excited when I saw  the blog post.  I loved making the project, and had fun playing with the My Mind's Eye products, they have some really cute stuff out.  I got my application out for the Simple Stories Design team on Friday.  I am keeping my fingers crossed, I worked really hard on the projects I submitted.  They will anounce the winners on March 2.

Echo Park Boy's Life Challenge

Hello there, I got another challenge done.  This one was using the awesome Boy's Life paper by Echo Park.  I made a growth chart, which then in turn can be made into an album.  It was simple to make, I mounted the growth chart on a piece of 4" x 36" x 1/8" balsa wood.  It could be mounted next to a doorway or window.  After you are done using it, you can make it into an album. You do want to make sure you use a repositionable adhesive so you can remove it from the wood. You  have everything recorded on your growth chart, just add some photos to go along with it.

My Mind's Eye: Blog Challenge 32

This is my first challenge that I am posting on my new blog, I am looking forward to posting many more.  This was a lot of fun.  I had fun working with My Mind's Eye products.  We had a sketch to follow, you can see bits and pieces of the sketch in the end product.  I guess the point is to get inspiration from sketches, not to just copy them, you need to make it your own in the end.  This is the sketch;

For my layout I started out with a "normal layout" and it became a layout in a box.  Even part of the layout is a mini album.  It is about my daughters dog Lulu, she is a pug mix with a face a mother only could love.

Here is the Mini album:

I hope you enjoyed my creation, Thanks for looking!  Kellie

I got my Camera!

    Yesterday I picked up my camera, I got a Canon SX40 and so far I love it.  I payed a little more than I wanted to but I am hoping it takes awesome photos.  I love my Nikon film camera but developing film is getting really expensive.  I watched some pretty cool tutorials on photographing your layouts, one Maggie Holmes did and another by Nichol Magoruirk.  They had some great tips,  I will be trying them this weekend when I photograph my projects I am making for the Simple Stories design team.  Enjoy your day,  Kellie

I love this company!  You should check this company out.  They make an awesome product that is so versatile.  Not only does it make scrapbooking so easy, you can use it for other projects too.  I will be posting some of my creations with their product soon (when I get my camera).  Have a great day!  Kellie
